As the Creative Director and Co-founder of Best Blooms, she has scaled the business from a "Ma & Pa" startup in Henderson to one of the largest and most trusted online florists in the country. Her authority in the gifting sector was cemented early in her career when Best Blooms was named the Winner of Auckland’s Gift Shop Category at the Top Shop Awards.

Jo-Ann’s expertise is rooted in a lifetime of floral artistry. She began her formal trade training at just 16 years old, inspired by a childhood spent watching her mother create church floral arrangements. Today, she leads a high-volume studio on Rosebank Road, overseeing a team of nine, including six qualified florists with over 100 years of combined experience. Her technical leadership ensures that every arrangement meets a "market-fresh" standard, supported by a specialised workflow she designed to process fresh blooms from the United Flower Auctions three times a week.
